Changes to the Behaviour Policy

The school has made some important changes to how we deal with children's behaviour.

Rule 4 has changed to - Respect everyone.

This is an important change to demonstrate that the school expects higher levels of good manners and respectful behaviour.

A new system of rewards will replace the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum certificates.  There will be a termly reward certificate given to each child achieving a certain number of greens in a term.  If a child achieves 160 greens or over they will still be invited to a special party at the end of the year.

School reports will now have the numbers of Green, Amber and Red days for each child.

Bonus points will now also be given to classes for good behaviour or for wearing school uniform that will be added to the attendance points.  The winning class will continue to win a free trip each term.

Learning Support

The Head Teacher has overall responsibility for ensuring that an effective curriculum is delivered to all pupils.

All staff have a responsibility to ensure that wherever possible all pupils reach their full potential.

The Support for Learning Teacher has responsibility for supporting children (and those who work with them) whose educational needs differ in any respect from those of the majority of the school population at any time. Such differences may relate to: learning difficulty; exceptional ability (gifted and talented); bilingualism; physical, sensory, emotional or behavioural needs, of short or long duration.

We have a supply of documents National, Local and School Policies which are available from the school for you to read at your convenience.

Should you wish to discuss any points or ask questions the promoted staff will be happy to meet with you at a mutually agreed time.
